Tip 1: Reward and Praise
Training a puppy is not all that difficult: you have to communicate clearly,
and you have to offer lots of praise when your request is followed. You can always offer praise and occasionally it doesn't
hurt to give a special treat.
Tip 2: House Breaking
To housetrain
a puppy you need 100% supervision. The puppy needs to be in the room with you at all times -- never loose in the
house unsupervised. If you want your pup to go to the bathroom outside, you need to pay attention to the times that he will
be needing to use the bathroom. Activities like eating, drinking, playing and waking up from naps will all stimulate your
pup to go. If you see the puppy start to have an accident, NEVER punish or yell. You scoop the puppy up and rush
them outside. Give praise and reward when your dog uses the potty area, to help the dog understand that yes, this is what
you want.
